"On the Shoulders of Giants" is a book written by Kareem Abdul-Jbbar about 20th century Harlem and a related documentary video. It appreciates the history from myriad perspectives including the arts, sports, and civics. The site includes videos from the movie as well as content information and teaching resources.

The series includes materials, video, and pictures which integrate with lessons on these topics.

This great website has a collection of photos of Native American life, with each photo including a detailed description of the photo and a little of the background. All of the pictures are Native American women performing their daily tasks. There are also a few of important aspects of their lives, like weddings and celebrations. The pictures are exceptional, and would be a good resource to use in many different projects and lesson plans. It would be a great way to build background with students.
