To become part of the CESU system, ask for the form for chèque d’emploi service universel from your French bank - or the post office - where you hold an account.

You are legally obliged to pay at least the minumum wage per hour - this is currently €9,28 including the holiday pay element, for which all salaries are entitled.

However, to this the state will be added social security payments so your final bill will be higher. For example one hour’s cleaning at the minimum wage rate will ultimately cost you around €17.
