If large, profit-making corporations can ask the government for breaks on bills they haven't even received yet, why don't individuals in the community get to ask, "Due to the 70 percent increase in energy costs, I can't afford to heat my home, can I have a tax break?" Or, "With all my bills skyrocketing, I can no longer feed my family, can I have a tax break?" Is a super-duper-whiz-bang-high-end mall more important than local families making ends meet?
