"The City, and sections of the media, are getting a touch over-excited by a “research note” written for Morgan Stanley by Matthew Robson, a 15 year old on work experience. This is one teen describing his experience. It is not a reliable description of all teens’ attitudes and behaviours, yet both Morgan Stanley and the media seem to be treating it as if Robson has Spoken The One Great Truth."

Rowan works with me. You probably already know her. If not, you'd like her. She's great, and her new blog is already great. She uses it to talk intelligently about social media, and whatever's interesting to her. If you're interested in the same things as I am, you'll like it.

It's a very interesting and important debate, and recent events make it all the more crucial that this law isn't abused. I'm expecting to see plenty of examples of cameras seized and photos deleted, and rather fewer arrests which hold up to scrutiny under this law.

Tom highlights that Wikipedia, MusicBrainz, etc can act as effective public content management systems for the BBC's tools: "a significant proportion of these services are drawing on data from elsewhere on the web, and that means that if we want to edit it we edit the web improving those services and those provided by the BBC"
