LORAC Beauty and the Beast Lipstick Collection ($36.00 for 0.55 oz.) includes five, full-sized lipsticks in hues of pink, coral, and red. The MOD Cream formula is described as a "creamy, moderate coverage" lipstick. I, on the other hand, would describe the MOD Cream formula has a highly pigmented, creamy, and luminous lipstick with wear that varied from three and a half hours to six hours that was hydrating and comfortable to wear. The big "downside" was that the pigmentation was typically nearly opaque and only one shade was actually "moderate coverage." True Beauty is a soft, light-medium pink with Continue Reading

Several Bordeaux merchants are under increasing pressure to find capital, and some have been brought to the brink of revolt over en primeur price rises and release strategies.Sommeliers prepare to pour Bordeaux 2016 en primeur wines for critics at the UGC's Hangar 14 venue. As the Bordeaux 2016 campaign draws to a close in a flurry of ambitious chteaux 'repositionings', it might be worth taking a look at a little side story that's developing over here. It can be summed up by the announcement last week that another Bordeaux ngociant was taking on outside capital. Bordeaux Tradition, founded over 30 years ago by Ivan Cruse and today run by Frdric Bernard, has just taken on a 50% investment from a Swiss-French company Adamian specialising in the distribution of copper, lead and zinc across more than 30 countries. This is not a small ngociant Bordeaux Tradition makes 60% of its turnover from grand crus, buys over 20,000 cases of en primeur each year, selling 70% of it overseas

Yeah, I know, Summer isn't even officially here and Too Faced Fall 2017 released today. No worries I'd say the Glitter Bomb Prismatic Glitter Eyeshadow Palette and gorgeous round up of Melted Latex Liquified High Shine Lipstick shades will be perfect for Summer looks. Speaking of which the Natural Love Eyeshadow Palette would have been a better Fall release versus the Glitter Bomb Eyeshadow Palette don't you agree!? Seems like the shades in this release are geared more towards the metallic trend we're currently seeing. Here's a peek at what launched! One of the more exciting aspects from this release is the fact that Born This Way Foundation and Born This Way Concealer has launched in a few new shades. So, if you couldn't find a shade to fit you before, I know I was between shades with the concealer, now you might be able to score your match. Too Faced Born This Way Setting Powder Ethereal Setting Powder $32 A new silky, lightweight powder with a subtle luminous finish that was creat

Since I've left the question deliberately vague on what I mean by "surprise," I'm going to say MAC. I'm surprised that they haven't made more changes to their offerings/how they release products or capitalized on really popular formulas/shades by releasing them more often or putting them in their permanent line. I feel like I'm starting to see subtle changes now and for the last few months but will be curious to see how they evolve in the next couple of years.

I literally had to pull to the side of the road when my friend called me and said their was an adorable Too Faced Clover Eyeshadow Palette coming in August. What? When? Where? Of course, I had to whip out my phone, login to my WordPress dashboard and start blogging it! Jerrod Blandino posted an image of a cute pastel palette today that features his little chihuahua, Clover, and all his friends in thee most adorable Tokidoki-like printed palette. The Too Faced Clover Eyeshadow Palette contains 18 softer, cooler shades of pastel and will launch in August 2017 which means it will likely be a Too Faced Fall 2017 Collection of sorts. According to his short blurb on the photo they'll be a Too Faced Animal Rescue Fund they'll also be launching so, I imagine sales from the palette will go to their animal charity. CLOVER & his friends are going to pop your peepers with cutting-edge color, fantasy textures and an Animal Charity angle that will launch our new Too Faced Animal Rescue Fund!!

NYX Snow Rose Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder ($7.99 for 0.21 oz.) is a very light, cool-toned beige with pink-to-lavender pearl that gave it more of a soft, frosted sheen. This was one of the more interesting shades (though the type of duochrome it had is something we have seen before), as it can really alter whatever it is layered over. On its own, the whiteness of the base color is rather apparent, so on my skin tone, it would be best when layered over another blush or highlighter. For someone very fair, it could definitely be worn more on its Continue Reading…

An 'extraordinary' vintage throughout the Côte d'Or, but the white wines are more uneven. Is Burgundy 2015 one to buy? William Kelley and Stephen Brook share their thoughts on the vintage...Burgundy 2015 vintage Chablis: 4.5/5Côte d'Or White: 3.5/5 Côte d'Or Red: 5/5 The 2015 vintage is an extraordinary one throughout the Côte d'Or. The red wines are truly great: rich, powerful and statuesque but almost always underpinned by juicy acidity. The distinctive characters of the region's diverse terroirs, which can be occluded by over-ripeness in warm years, are articulately expressed. Nor, despite its richness and amplitude, is this a facile vintage. These are wines for the long haul, with serious reserves of ripe tannins hidden behind their generous fruit: they will deserve patience – and if they shut down in bottle, they will demand it. Find our full Burgundy en primeur tasting notes on Decanter.com next week.  This first appeared in the February 2017 issue of Decanter. Subscr
