Looking into the numbers found that this happened primarily at black schools. In other words, it's NOT ONLY police state bullshit, but also racist bullshit. Of course: It's Texas, the civil rights rectum of our country. And oh, special education students were overrepresented too.
Disgusting comments on this article too. You can see the racism that leads to situations like this. The very first comment on the article when I read it was: "blacks are forcing the dumbing down of society...Martin Luther King asked people to have CHARACTER........blacks, for the most part, have none."

A good article summarizing the FUCKED UP STATE OF FREEDOM that currently exists in America.
Our tax dollars going to electrically torture children for acting up? Check!
Tasing people to death? Check!
Tasing diabetics for having seizures? Check!
Tasing foster youghs until they shit their pants in fear? Check!
Tasing someone on a ledge so they fall to their death? Check! [at least that officer had the honor to kill himself afteward]
Living in America! Land of the "Free"!

Sorry, new tabs opening at the very right is superior and more efficient, but realizing and learning to work in this fashion is a bit counterintuitive, so they switched to doing it the "IE way", which is opening a new tab to the right of the existing tab. This makes since for stupid users, but not for smart users.
I keep gmail at the very left, with Google Reader as my 2nd tab, Google Reader starred items as my 3rd tab, Google Calender as my 4th tab. And I constantly alternate between Gmail and GReader. I DON'T want new gmail links opening up a tab in between these two and pushing my reader farther to the right.
New tabs, for me, should open at the very right. I have dedicated buttons on my mouse for switching tabs. I can then go between gmail and greader and open as many tabs as I want without separating the two. They open up at the right, in a stack form, where I can then move 1 tab to the left [wrapping around] to pop newly opened tabs off my to-read stack.

At least, according to this research from, oh, HARVARD.
OF COURSE it matters what kind of meat you eat. Most anti-meat research includes people who eat 7 hot dogs a day, vs someone who just eats a little meat, or only wild game that they kill themselves.
Guess what? 4oz of daily red meet from beef, hamburger, pork, lamb, or game had no statistic increase for either heart disease or diabetes!

Screw Yahoo Pipes... I want regular expressions!!
Actually, Yahoo Pipes is damn cool. It's just good that there are other, easier alternatives for filtering RSS.
Subscribing to Facebook updates via RSS is nice... But there are some people I don't give a shit about, but still want to not defriend. Time to filter them out of my feed. Fake-following people kicks ass.

Not only are the images hilarious, but the foods depicted herein are AMAZINGLY GROSS. I'd heard of Lutefisk (King Of The Hill) and Balut (Shannon D), but not of the other 4. AWESOMELY GROSS AND INFORMATIVE! FUNNY PICTURES!

More ridiculous permanent records of sexual harassment -- against 6 year olds. (HT Angel.)
This is part of a much broader trend.

Interesting study of 16,000 women -- turns out those with hourglass figures are actually smarter, and more likely to have smarter children. I guess big boobs don't automatically mean ditzy :)
