My article "Tyler stalks Styrofoam," which appeared in the West Seattle Herald in March 2008, won third place for Social Issues Reporting in Non-Daily Newspapers. The prize was given in the annual Excellence in Journalism Awards sponsored by the Western Washington Pro chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
