I got an email about this, and I might actually be interested. It seems to address many of the shortcomings of existing CMS platforms (like Blackboard or even Moodle), particularly in its support of ongoing informal learning. It also has built in billing (with paypal) for more formal course offerings. "Sclipo is a social learning network. Use Sclipo to learn, teach and meet people that share your educational interests."

I haven't tried this fast-growing service, but wonder if it would be of interest to educators looking for a "walled garden" approach to using two-way web technologies with their students: "Multiply makes it easy to create, share and discuss your blog, photos, and videos with more of the people you know, and fewer of the people you don't."
