Interesting article about groupon from the business point of view. As a consumer, I admit, I'm a groupon addict. And I almost always spend more than the groupon amount. I've discovered some great new places and I've become a repeat customer at some. I guess it depends on the business and how the offer is positioned. And one commenter is right...it's up to the business to create a remarkable experience for the new customer so they want to come back, as well as find a way to capture their contact info. Not one place I've been to with a groupon has asked me for my email address! A lost opportunity.

Some good tips here for how to use social media. I had no idea YouTube had a keyword suggestion tool...and IceRocket, got to check it out too.

Thanks to @DaveLakhani for bringing this article to my attention. Both location-based and service businesses should pay attention to the ramifications of being \"yelped\" and how to respond to negative reviews. Excellent article.
