The Department of Defense (DoD) released its 2012 calendar year DoD Suicide Event Report (DoDSER), which details the number of suicide attempts and deaths for U.S. service members. The report standardizes suicide surveillance efforts across the military services and tracks the total suicide deaths, manner of death, and other variables. The DoDSER program is a collaborative effort of the Department of Defense's Suicide Prevention and Risk Reduction Committee (SPARRC), the military services, and the National Center for Telehealth and Technology (T2). Minnesota residents can now apply for an enhanced driver's license or identification card that will allow them to re-enter the United States without needing a passport. State-issued enhanced drivers licenses (EDLs) provide proof of identity and U.S. citizenship, are issued in a secure process, and include technology that makes travel easier.
