The National Archives has posted photos to the popular social photo sharing website Flickr.com. So far, they have added Matthew Brady Civil War photographs, a collection called Documerica from the EPA, pictures from the Bureau of Indian Affairs 'Flathead Irrigation Project' in the early 20th century, and other historical photos and documents.
