What makeup patterns work to stop facial recognition software from recognizing you...
...and what makeup patterns don't.
Very soon now, this will be necessary to assert your First Amendment rights to protect, without ending up on a government watchlist.
Of course, our government has already trodden on our freedom to wear a mask in public -- No privacy allowed! We're scared! So they'll probably outlaw this kind of makeup too.
Of course, if you happen to like makeup like that for aesthetic or expressive purposes, your freedom of expression in this manner will eventually be destroyed as collateral damage in the technology war to track every step every citizen takes in public.

Expect measures to slowly creep to this level in the UK and in the USA. This is scary stuff. If technology, say, cures cancer, but removes freedom -- all that means is that we get to be slaves for a longer time before dying.

Basically -- they want a camera in every seat, pointed at your face every second, automatically reporting you if you sweat too much, or make the wrong kinds of faces. Being different has never been so costly! Line up, cattle!

People don't get to choose their sexual attractions (or oppressed gays would magically become straight to have a more convenient life). This strikes me as a bit heavy-handed - the real offense is taking the pictures, which does not actually harm anyone.
